This sapphire is a little bit of a color shifter. It is in most lighting a dominantly orange gem, however in brighter lights and daylight with off center viewing (lets say your looking directly at the gem, look an inch to left or right) it turns green. My nice camera depicts a dominantly green/yellowish green gem but the other video camera depicts it as a mostly orange/brown gem, the mostly orange/brown gem is what you can expect in most lighting.
